Sociology of Popular Culture

This course is dedicated to the study of a realm of social life that many of us take for granted: popular culture. This course tries to uncover the hidden dynamics of everyday life and studies a particular realm of
sociological
imagination. It discusses what effect popular culture has on American democratic ideals.
