Gender and Religion

This course will consider the changing role of women in religions across the globe. It surveys the practices of exclusion and inclusion regarding women found in several of the world's religious traditions, including
those
dominated by women. It explores the symbolic construction of male and female in relation to broader issues of gender, sexuality, and feminism.
