Contemporary as distinct from ages of modern and classical Christian thought deals with both in its project. The main part of this discussion course explores and examines select recent 20th-century Christian theologies from around the world divided into liberationist, feminist, orthodox, liberal and evangelical currents. A range of beliefs in God, the world and humanity will be pursued on the basis of select theological texts. The second part of the course will focus on a few Christian thinkers in the fields of philosophy and/or history.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
