Community Psychology
PSYC 266 SP
This course serves as an introduction to community psychology, a discipline that blends elements of sociology, anthropology, social psychology, clinical psychology, developmental psychology, and urban planning (to name a
few). Class topics include levels of analysis, ecologies, prevention and intervention, feminism and community psychology, empowerment, self-help, sense of community, coalition building, and social justice and action.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Midterm exam; 2 short group papers and 1 short individual paper; in-class group work; community-based final paper.

This is a core course in social psychology. Course includes a community component.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
