Biochemical Basis of Pharmaceuticals

The fundamental concepts underlying the mechanism of action of drugs. The topics provide some of the best applications of the fundamentals of biochemistry. This course is an ideal introduction to medicine for premedical students. Organic chemistry is a prerequisite. Students are advised to have had biochemistry or take it concurrently, but it is not a requirement.

Students must attend the first lecture to be enrolled in this course.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
