Abstract Algebra
MATH 262 SP

In this continuation of MATH261, the topics will be modules, vector spaces, linear transformations, and Galois theory. Additional selected topics will be covered, as time permits.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Frequent problem sets. Each student will give an oral presentation during the last third of the semester.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Students should already have taken MATH261.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
