Elementary Korean I

Required Sequence: LANG153 & LANG154.

Elementary Korean is offered as a year long course which will introduce students to written and spoken Korean. Taught with the help of a native-speaker instructor, the course is useful to students who may have spoken Korean at home as well as to those students who have no previous experience with this language.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

To petition for a self instructional language program, or for information about courses in the less commonly taught languages, students should see Jane Edwards, Director of International Studies.

A curriculum will be designed to match every level of proficiency (Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced). In addition to classroom meetings, weekly individual sessions are offered for one-on-one attention from the instructor. Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
