Continuation of JAPN103, an introduction to modern Japanese, both spoken and written. Class meets daily, six hours a week. Regular work in the language laboratory and Kanji workshop is required.

Conversation, grammar, writing and reading, drills, quizzes and examinations, essays in Japanese.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Regular attendance in class, in the language laboratory, and at the Kanji workshop is required. Transfer students and others who believe that they are ready for this course should see the instructor.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
