Forest City: The History of Middletown - A Research Seminar
HIST 171 FA
In this seminar we will explore the history of Middletown. Among the topics discussed will be local government, economy, immigration, religious institutions, and schools, including this university. In this class
students
will be historians themselves, conducting original research which others will read in the future.

Plan, research, and write a major research essay (20-25 pages).
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
The seminar is designed for sophomores who are considering History as their major.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
