Forms of Freedom: Anarchism, Socialism and Communitarianism
GOVT 342 FA

What is freedom, and what political forms might it take? We will examine 19th and 20th century anarchist, socialist, and communitarian thought in Europe and America: ideas of freedom and liberty; the state and civil society; deliberation and emotion; technology, force, power and passion. Also, how are theory and action joined in these theories and movements?
