Introduction to U.S. Multi-Ethnic Literature

This course will survey the major authors in the areas of African American, Asian American, Chicana/o Latina/o, and Native American literature. It will include readings in history, social theory, and other materials that will give a historical and sociocultural context to the readings. The goal is to understand the racialized formation of the U.S. inscribed in cultural and literary texts, practices, discourses.
