The course will explore such questions as: What factors make their performances diverge among themselves? How are they interacting with the rest of the world? What factors were underlying the "East Asian Miracle"? What triggered the Asian financial crisis? What were national and international responses? What values shape the behavior of their individual and organizational agents? What are the problems facing them today and for the future?
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
