Principles of Chemistry II
CHEM 144 SP

This second semester of the general chemistry course is recommended for science students. The focus of the course is the fundamentals of structure and bonding. We will build upon the foundation laid down in CHEM143. CHEM152, the associated laboratory course, may be taken concurrently. The lab should be taken by those who plan to take more than one year of chemistry.

Oxtoby & Nachtrieb, PRINCIPLES OF MODERN CHEMISTRY (4th edition)

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Graded problem sets, three hour exams and a final exam.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Participation in weekly recitation sections is required.
