Drawing I
ARST 131 SP
This introduction to drawing gives special attention to the articulation of line, shape, volume, light, gesture and composition. A variety of media and subjects will be used, including the live model. This course is
suitable
for both beginners and students with some experience. Individual progress is an important factor in grading. The graded option is recommended. Full classroom attendance is expected.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Weekly assignments, final portfolio and/or final project.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Course Fee: $45.00. To be used in partial support of model's salary and for drawing paper.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
Drop/Add form to the Registrar's
Office.
