An in-depth examination of the process of designing costumes through the investigation of selected texts and musical compostions. The topics covered will include the production design concept, the collaborative artistic process, script analysis, the visualization of character, styles of costume design, costume history and research, basic design, rendering, fabrics, and production organization.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
