This course will critically examine writings of the classic sources of contemporary social theory: Simone de Beauvoir, Martin Luther King, Reinhold Niebuhr, Erving Goffman, C. Wright Mills, Alvin Gouldner, Claude Levi-Strauss, Talcott Parsons.
