Models of God
RELI393 SP

This seminar will critically explore new images and concepts of God and humanity in contemporary currents of feminist, liberationist, deconstructive and systematic theology. Special attention will be given to theologies of creation. Attention will also be given to methods, i.e., combinations of biblical interpretation, historical reconstruction, and socio-cultural analysis in a variety of theological proposals from the Americas to South Africa.

Prior work in Philosophy or Religion is recommended, and may substitute for RELI101. This course fulfills a "Critical Disciplines" requirement for the department major.
