Christian Theology: God and Humanity

This discussion and lecture course analyzes Christian teachings of God and humanity in the light of scripture, traditions, and issues raised in current Christian movements, for example, evangelicalism, spirituality, and liberation theologies. Topics include the nature of God, the Trinity, creation, and humanity as IMAGO DEI and sinner. Attention will be given to relations of theology and society. Readings will be taken from classical and contemporary authors.
