The Beginnings of the Russian Short Story

This course will follow the growth of Russian realist prose through the 19th century, focusing on three genres: romances, horror tales and tales of the poor clerk. Taught in Russian, the course is designed for both native speakers and advanced students of Russian.

MAJOR READINGS
