This course examines major theories and research in human motivation--why people behave the way they do. Special emphasis will be given to issues regarding achievement motivation, affiliation/intimacy motivation, power motivation, and intrinsic motivation. We will consider how diferent motives affect psychological well-being, emotions, values, and behavior.
