Research Methods and Techniques in Perception
PSYC209 SP

This course will review the major experimental methods and techniques as a means of studying perception and attention. The topics will include psychophysics, signal detection theory, spatial frequency analysis, research design, hypothesis, hypothesis testing, data analysis, and how to write a report. Students will be introduced to the use of computers as a research tool and will be given an opportunity to develop a project of their interests.

One or two presentations and a project report.
