Introductory Physics Laboratory I
PHYS121 FA
This laboratory course, taken concurrently with PHYS111, provides experience with phenomena discussed in lecture. Video cameras and computer analysis of video clips will be the primary tools for observation of motion.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
None. Lab notebooks are reviewed by the lab instructor at the end of each weekly lab meeting.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Students are encouraged to take the lab concurrently with PHYS111. Students planning to enter the health professions should be aware that a year of physics WITH LABORATORY is usually required for admission to graduate
school. Consult your major adviser
if you are in doubt about similar requirements in your field. Each laboratory section is limited to 10.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
Drop/Add form to the Registrar's
Office.
