Beginning Philosophy

This is a small discussion, writing intensive introduction to philosophy for first-year students. There will be intensive study and reading of some major classical works (for example, works by Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, etc.), as well as some contemporary works. There will be a good deal of writing.
