Topics in Regulation of Eukaryotic Gene Expression
MB&B513 FA

This graduate seminar course will focus on recent advances in understanding the control of gene expression. The emphasis will be on control at the level of transcription. The reading and discussion of recent research papers will be aimed at making it possible to deduce some conclusions of general significance about how this control is exerted. The experimental approaches that have been most useful and are likely to be useful in the future will be emphasized. Upper level undergraduates with a strong background and interest in molecular biology (for example, good performance in MB&B208) may enroll in this course with permission of instructor. The course will run the first half of the semester.
