This course will expose students to a collection of important original papers that deal with various aspects of molecular biology including the elucidation of DNA as the hereditary material. This exposure may introduce students to the scientific research paper or serve to further familiarize them with it. The development of ideas and experiments as well as an understanding of the experimental basis for many current textbook facts that form the foundation of molecular biology will be stressed. S tudents will present selected papers, and class discussion of them will follow each presentation.
