Introduction to Graph Theory
MATH201 FA
This introductory-level mathematics course will emphasize learning how to write mathematical proofs. Topics will include the Konigsberg bridge problem, the traveling salesperson problem, Ramsey numbers, matching, the
knight's tour, and the four-color
theorem. Many interesting and unusual graphs will be presented to the students.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
There will be quizzes, a final and weekly homework.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Other acceptable prerequisites are a 4 or 5 on the Calculus AP exam or any 200 level math course or permission of the instructor. The material in this course will not overlap that of MATH273 and both may be taken for
credit.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
Drop/Add form to the Registrar's
Office.
