Ireland: Colonialism and Decolonialization

These issues as well as those of independence and the formation of a nation state and a national culture in the aftermath of colonialism will be discussed in this course. This course will also deal with the peace process in Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic's emergence as a "Celti c Tiger."
