United States History since the 1890s
HIST240 SP

This course will survey the history of the United States from the 1890s throught the 1980s. The impact of war, inter-ethnic and inter-racial relations, popular protest movements, labor relations, and the nature of democracy in American will be among the topics highlighted. Many primary documents will be assigned.

Weekly ungraded 1-2 pp. papers; 2 graded 5 pp. essays, take-home final exam.
