The Sophists
GRK262 SP

The sophists were originally teachers of rhetorical technique, but eventually they came to have a profound influence on literature and moral philosophy as well. Through readings in the orators, poets, and philosophers, this course will examine the major trends in the evolution of the sophistic movement.
