From Hegel to Marx and Marcuse

Freedom, necessity, and liberation in the political thought of G.W.F. Hegel, Karl Marx, and Hebert Marcuse. The development of human self-consciousness in history; the ethical structure of the state, civil society, and
the family; critical theory of the
structure of production; eros and the challenge to work and family; politics, culture, and the possibilities of revolution will be covered.
