Politics of Terrorism

This course analyzes terrorism as one form of contemporary political violence. The course will focus on the causes and consequences of terrorism against the state since the French Revolution. It employs an interdisciplinary, case-study oriented approach.

A major research paper, plus final exam.

Students who have not taken GOVT155, 157 or 159, may see the instructor to request a prerequisite override.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
