Themes in the French Theater

This course will present a broad selection of French plays chosen from the Middle Ages to the present, representative of a variety of playwrights, movements and styles, and illustrative of several general themes (l'homme
solitaire et la societe, l'homme
devant l'Etat, l'homme reveur, etc.).
