Composition and Conversation
FREN215 SP

This course introduces you to various aspects of modern French life through a wide range of materials and methods: videos and readings on various cultural topics, oral reports, weekly discussions with French teaching assistants, laboratory practice, and compositions. It helps you to continue to develop your language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), preparing you for upper-level French courses or for study abroad.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Weekly composition, bi-weekly dictee, two hour-exams, final exam.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Students are required to attend one T.A. session a week (one hour). This course is intended for students who have completed FREN112 with a grade of B or better or have placed into FREN215 through the placement test this fall. Students who have not done so should consult with the professor before preregistering.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
