King Lear and The Tempest: The Worlds of Tragedy and Romance
ENGL117 FA

This course will consist mainly of a close study of Shakespeare's masterpiece. Attention will also be paid to cultural/historical context. We will conclude with a briefer encounter with his final play, which presents a radically different way of conceiving the world.
