Corporate Finance: Stocks, Bonds, and Money

This course is an introduction to corporate finance with an emphasis on economic theory and empirical analysis. The purpose of the course is to acquaint students with the sizable contributions made by eminent economic scholars in the field of finance and to understand the interaction between economics and finance. Tables, graphs and statistics will be frequently employed. Topics include present value of stocks and bonds, the determination of interest rates, risk and return and capital structure. The course is not designed to teach students how to become rich through investing in the stock market.
