Modern Dance I

An elementary modern dance class above the introductory level with an emphasis on anatomically sound and efficient movement. Studiowork, readings, and homework assignments focus on experiential anatomy and the development of strength, endurance, joint mobility, and technical skills necessary for working in dance technique, improvisation, and choreography.

Written assignments, movement assignments.

Permission of the instructor is required. May be repeated for credit. Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
