Post-Socialist Economies in Transition, Part II

The transition of the formerly centrally planned and bureaucratically managed economies to market economies based on private property and individual initiative is an event unparalleled in history. The marcroeconomics of
liberalization and stabilization
and the microeconomics of enterprise privatization are examined using the experiences of Poland, Czech Republic, and Russia.

Open only to CSS majors. This is a fourth quarter class. Students have five days after the first day of class to add this course. This class must be dropped by April 7.
