Post-Socialist Economies in Transition, Part I

The transition of formerly centrally planned and bureaucratically managed economies to market economies based on private property and individual initiative is an even unparalleled in history. The macroeconomics of
liberalization and stabilization and
the microeconomics of enterprise privatization are examined using the experiences of Poland, Czech Republic, and Russia.
