Camus, Sartre, and Simone de Beauvoir: The Paris School of Existential Writing

This course is a study of the three great representatives of French existential writing. It will concentrate on their fiction, plays and essays. The main themes and modes of existential writing will be studied as well
as the concept of the committed
writer.

Short papers, term paper (10 pp.), final examination.
