Environmental Chemistry
CHEM314 SP

This course for is designed for students with college-level general and organic chemistry background. Examples of subject topics to be covered include thermodynamics of energy production, solar fusion and fission power, chemical kinetics and transport models for air pollution (photochemical smog and ozone depletion); acid rain; health effect of air pollution and water pollution; and analytical methods such as trace detection and standardization. Analysis and criticism of environmental literature are included.
