Principles of Biology II--Laboratory

An introduction to experimental design and research: a series of laboratory exercises designed to demonstrate principles of genetics and development using a variety of organisms and techniques.
MAJOR READINGS
Weekly handouts (1-3 pages) prepare the student for the laboratory exercise and the subsequent written report.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Several announced quizzes and several written lab reports.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Three hours of laboratory per week; lab sections limited to 16 students. Labs will be scheduled several afternoons and evenings each week. Students should take BIOL206 and BIOL216 concurrently. You must register for
BIOL206 and BIOL216 separately.
