This is a tutorial style course involving the application of
computer technology to the principles of theatrical design.
Actual designs will be explored using the Macintosh computer
as a design tool. Areas to be investigated include scene,
lighting and costume design and technical direction. The
use of the computer in design as an alternative to the
traditional design process will be stressed.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Complete drawings/renderings
etc. for the design project produced on the computer. It
is hoped that the discovery of new and more efficient
applications of the computer in the design process will
result from this course.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Permission of the
instructor is required. It is granted to students with
experience in the traditional design approach who
demonstrate a desire to explore the application of the
computer to this process.
