This intensive review and development of written and oral skills pays increasing attention to composition and reading. The students meet regularly three hours a week to review grammar, perform oral or written drills and analyze the readings. A grammar review, a workbook, short works of literature and other readings will constitute the basic texts. The students are required to enroll in conversation sections that are organized after the first class meeting; the evaluation is based on the individual's participation and improvement. Laboratory work is also required. This course is targeted to people who demonstrate an above-average intermediate Spanish level.
