This course is a survey of the Golden Age of Russian lyric
poetry. It will include close reading of works by Pushkin,
Lermontov, Pavlova, Baratynsky, Tiutchev, Fet, and Prutkov;
metrics and versification; intertextual dialogue among
Russian poets and between Russian poetry and the European
tradition; imitation and parody.
