The course reviews the constellation of psychological theories about women. Topics to be covered include personality, development, physiology, intellect, achievement and social roles. Studies of gender are reviewed and assessed with consideration of the impact of history, politics, culture and research practices. The forms and possibilites of feminist science are explored.

This is a core course in the study area of Women's Studies. Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
