An introductory course in solid state physics. The
fundamentals of crystalline structure, photons and electrons
in solids will be developed. Applications will cover the
thermal, electrical (including superconductivity), optical
and magnetic properties of metals, insulators and
semiconductors. Open only to graduate students.
