This half-credit, half-semester introduction to special
relativity theory emphasizes the spacetime viewpoint.
MAJOR READINGS

E.F. Taylor and J.A. Wheeler, SPACETIME PHYSICS, 2nd. ed.
A.P. French, SPECIAL RELATIVITY.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Two exams, weekly problem
sets, and perhaps some quizzes.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
This course meets
the second half of the semester. Classes begin on
MONDAY, October 26.
NOTE: Students must add this course by November 2.
