This course in the algebra of n-dimensional space Rn with
emphasis on the concrete and geometric, covers vectors and
matrices; systems of linear equations and subspaces of Rn
associated with them; determinants; eigenvalues and
eigenvectors; questions of orthogonality. It will present
applications to topics such as least squares approximations,
Markov matrices, positive definite matrices as time permits.
For a more conceptual treatment of n-dimensional space, see
MATH223, Linear Algebra.
