An interdisciplinary seminar focusing on political structures and resistance movements and incorporating the discourses of literature and history. Beginning with the Mexican Revolution, the course will examine other moments in contemporary Latin American history which have been characterized by overt and covert struggles over power.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list.
