Italian Women Writers

This course will examine the works of Italian women writers
of the 19th and 20th centuries. Discussion includes the
political, historical, and social perspective of the woman
writer, problematics of gender and self-definition of the
female voice. Authors include DeLedda, Serao, Ginzburg,
Morante and Banti.
